Better bus services to Headington and the hospitals

Local councillors have had innumerable complaints about the lack of through bus services from North Oxford to Headington and to the Churchill, Nuffield and Warneford Hospitals. Although the new 700 service from Water Eaton Park and Ride is very popular, it does not go beyond the John Radcliffe Hospital. Stagecoach run the number 14 service to the JR and this could be extended to serve the other hospitals and Headington itself, as well as the Brookes University site in Gypsy Lane.

Local Liberal Democrats are campaigning to make it much easier for people to travel between the north of the city and Headington, without having to change buses in the city centre, which involves a long walk, difficult for the less mobile as well as time-consuming. We see an extension to the 14 route as the easiest first step to improve connections between Headington and North Oxford.
